Workshop on Interactive Visualization (WIV) - Sibgrapi 2012

Call for Participation

Interactive Visualization has greatly evolved in the last decade, becoming an essential

tool for other communities apart from computer scientists and engineers.

Creating a forum where up-to-date Interactive Visualization techniques can be presented

and discussed is the main goal of the Workshop on Interactive Visualization 2012, which

will take place in August 24, 2012, as a satellite event of Sibgrapi 2012.

This call for participation invites visualization groups to submit an extended abstract

(up to 3 pages) describing their recent advances in this area. Selected abstracts will

be invited for an oral presentation during WIV.

In addition to group presentations, the WIV 2012 will have an invited talk by Dr. Kwan-Liu Ma.

Dr. Kwan-Liu Ma is a professor of computer science and the chair of the Graduate Group in

Computer Science (GGCS) at the University of California-Davis. He leads the VIDI (Visualization and Interface Design Innovation)

research group, and directs the DOE SciDAC Institute for Ultra-Scale Visualization.
