It is our pleasure to invite you and your co-workers to present your research work at the 2nd International Symposium on Uncertainty Quantification and Stochastic Modeling (Uncertainties 2014), to be held in Rouen, France, on July 7-11, 2014.
This event is a sequel of the 1st International Symposium on Uncertainty Quantification and Stochastic Modeling (Uncertainties 2012), held in Maresias (Brazil) from February 26th. to March 2nd. 2012.
Uncertainties 2014 is organized on behalf of the
• Scientific Committee on Stochastic Modeling and Uncertainty Quantification of the ABCM (Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences)
• SBMAC (Brazilian Society of Applied Mathematics)
• AFM-MPMS (French Society of Mecanical Sciences - Probabilistic Mechanics of Materials and Structures group (MPMS)
After the first meeting, Uncertainties becomes a bi-annual event in order to create a permanent forum for the discussion of academic, scientific and technical aspects of uncertainty quantification in mechanical systems.
The main goal of Uncertainties 2014 is to provide a forum for discussion and presentation of recent developments concerning academic, scientific and technical aspects of uncertainty quantification in engineering, including research, development and practical applications, which are strongly encouraged.
The event will provide an appropriate atmosphere for the exchange of experiences, with sufficient free time for scientific connections, interactions with past and future collaborators, and so on. Hence, there will be no parallel sessions.
All presented papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings. Conference Proceedings will be published in an ISBN-registered CD-ROM. A selection of the best papers presented at the conference will be submitted to be published in two dedicated scientific journals indexed by Web of Science and Scopus:
English is adopted as the official language of the event, to be used for the written articles and in the oral presentations.
A conference website will be available soon in order to furnish up-to-date information about the conference, venue and submission procedure.
Important dates Deadline for abstract submission: July 2013
Notification of Acceptance: October 2013
Full Paper Submission: December 2013
Full paper acceptance: February 2014
We would appreciate if you could forward this information to your colleagues who may be also interested in this conference, and encourage them to submit abstracts to the Conference.
