2016 Winter Simulation Conference
De 11 a 14 de Novembro de 2016
When: December 11-14, 2016
Where: Washington, D.C.
Website: http://www.wintersim.org/
--------------------------------------------------------------
The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum
for disseminating recent advances in the field of dynamic systems modeling
and simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and
quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation
practitioners, researchers and vendors. Research in modeling and simulation
is propelled by fostering cross-fertilization between various disciplines.
The Modelling Methodology is one of the traditional tracks, and there is
still time to submit papers.
Modeling Methodology Track information:
Track Chairs:
Levent Yilmaz, Auburn University
Gabriel Wainer, Carleton University.
The Modeling Methodology track is interested in methodological advances with
respect to the theory and practice of modeling and simulation. These may
include approaches to model development, data capture, model building,
verification, validation, experimentation, and optimization. Contributions
to the advancement of the technology and the software used to support
modeling are also welcome as are contributions featuring guiding or unifying
frameworks, the development and application of meaningful formal methods,
and lessons learned. All modeling paradigms are accepted and supported. If
you have an idea for a special session or a panel discussion of particular
interest to the WSC participants, please send an email with a short
description and references to the work of relevant experts to the track
chairs.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
Modeling paradigms
Formal modeling languages
Modeling approaches for real-time systems
Technological advances in modeling software
Spatial and temporal modeling
Multilevel modeling
Multi-paradigm modeling
Multi-formalism modeling
Model reuse, repositories and retrieval
Distributed simulation
Modeling with ontologies
Semantic tools supporting modeling methods
Standardization challenges
Epistemological perspectives
Modeling for augmented reality
Enhancing the impact of modeling and simulation
Grand challenges for modeling and simulation
CONTRIBUTED PAPER DEADLINES
----------------------------------------------
. April 6, 2016: Electronically submit contributed papers not
previously published or presented. Papers should be at most 12 pages
(including an abstract of not more than 150 words), except for introductory
tutorials, advanced tutorials, and panel sessions, for which the limit is 15
pages. Submission implies that an author will attend WSC 2016 and present
the paper, and all clearance required for publication of the paper will be
obtained by July 15, 2016. Use of the authors' templates in one of the
following formats is required: Microsoft Word or LaTeX. Submissions must be
made through the WSC website www.wintersim.org.
. June 1, 2016: Notification of Acceptance
. July 15, 2016: Ready-Camera Version submission
LOCATION
---------------
WSC 2016 will be held in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington,
D.C. at the Crystal Gateway Marriott on December 11-14, 2016.
WSC 2015 is sponsored by ACM/SIGSIM, ASA (Technical Co-Sponsor), ASIM
(Technical Co-Sponsor), IEEEISMC (Technical Co-Sponsor), IIE, INFORMS-SIM,
NIST (Technical Co-Sponsor) and SCS.
