We are pleased to announce that the Linear Algebra and its Applications Workshop will be held on july 30-31, 2018 at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niterói, Brazil.

LAAW2018 is a satellite event of ICM 2018 (International Congress of Mathematicians), that will be held in Rio de Janeiro, from August 1st to 9th, 2018.

We have four confirmed plenary talks:

Carlos Tomei, PUC-RJ, Brazil;

Chris Godsil, University of Waterloo, Canada;

Dragan Stevanovic, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Serbia;

José Roberto P. Rodrigues, Petrobras/Cenpes, Brazil.

Contributed talks covering work on the conference topics will be selected for presentation. Prospective authors should submit a 1-page abstract of their work in pdf format by email to laaw2018@gmail.com

Submissions open on: January 5th 2018

Closing date for submissions: March 30 th 2018

Notification of acceptance: April 20th 2018

Registration Fees

Regular: R$ 100 (early); R$150 (late),

Student: R$ 60 (early); R$ 100 (late).

Early registration ends May 10, 2018 and the above values include access to conference activities (sessions and coffee breaks).

We hope to see you at UFF (Univrersidade Federal Fluminense), Niterói for the workshop.
